CITY OF FAIRFIELD: Holiday Toy, Coat, and Food giveaway on Dec. 19 was a success!

City of Fairfield issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.

The City of Fairfield was a proud partner at the December 19, 2020 Fairfield Community Services Foundation’s Holiday Toy, Coat and Food Giveaway. The event was a drive-through and walk-up event at Bethel Community Church that provided local residents in need an opportunity to receive free toys, coats, bags full of food, and personal protective equipment including holiday theme masks.

The Foundation partnered with the City’s Quality of Life Task Force, Bethel Community Church, Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club, First Northern Bank, Hopkins Auto Group, Paradise Valley Estates, Potrero Hills Landfill, Republic Services, Rylee Fund, Shelter Solano, Soroptimist of Central Solano County, and West American Bank to hold a well-received giveaway event. For this holiday giveaway event, a total of 452 families received free essential items which included over 400 bags of food, 750 new coats, and 1,200 toys. This event served a total of 1,797 local individuals. It is community partners coming together at times like these, that truly make a difference in improving the quality of life for its residents.

About Fairfield Community Services Foundation - The Foundation was founded in 1994 by community members committed to improving Fairfield, California. The primary focus of the Foundation is to provide economic and volunteer support for community service programs that improve the quality of life of children living in low-income areas and for seniors in Fairfield.
