On Feb. 9, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) carried out an inspection at West Coast Distribution Benicia – Thorne Research in Benicia to review food composition, standards, labeling and economic practices, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.

The final report stated that West Coast Distribution Benicia – Thorne Research was not required to take any action to address the organization’s management operations.

Across the country, the FDA regularly inspects facilities to assess whether workplaces and their products comply with FDA regulations and laws designed to enhance public health. Inspection outcomes are made available to the public.

According to its website, the FDA is a federal agency overseeing the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products.
