67 percent of applicants to the California State University Maritime Academy were admitted for fall 2018

At the California State University Maritime Academy, 88 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 83 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Vallejo enrolled 1,046 students in fall 2018, including 1,017 in undergraduate and 29 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

79 percent of undergraduates are residents of California, and 19 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (47 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (20 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 1,117 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
