City of Fairfield recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Fairfield's Housing Services Department presents its Touch Up the Town event. Applications are due November 20. To participate you must be within the household Income Limits and live in a single family home in Fairfield within the Downtown Heart of Fairfield neighborhood consisting of Broadway, Ohio, and Illinois Streets, between Pennsylvania Avenue and Jefferson Street.
The Housing Services Department, in collaboration with community volunteers, local contractors, businesses, and local churches, will provide exterior-home beautification services. This program cannot accommodate a physical indoor inspection, interior items, or work that requires a permit.
Volunteers are needed to help with the event on Saturday, December 12, by assisting with yard waste removal and weeding, clearing gutters, gate lock repairs, changing exterior light bulbs, minor repairs to front-yard fences, mowing lawns and/or picking up litter.
