John Garamendi, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 8th district, has recently shared his views and upcoming engagements through a series of tweets. These posts cover various topics including community engagement, political decisions regarding budget resolutions, and infrastructure issues.

On March 10, 2025, Garamendi invited constituents to join him for a live Telephone Town Hall scheduled for March 12th at 6:00 p.m. PT. The event aims to discuss pressing community issues and the initiatives he is undertaking to support his constituents. He encouraged participation by stating that "Please join me for a live Telephone Town Hall on Wednesday, March 12th, at 6:00 p.m. PT to discuss pressing issues in our community and the work I am doing to support my constituents. You can view the live stream on my Facebook."

In a tweet dated March 11, 2025, Garamendi expressed his opposition to a House Republicans’ continuing resolution. He criticized the resolution for allowing former President Trump to reallocate funds as he pleases and terminate life-saving programs while neglecting veterans and families. Garamendi stated his position clearly by announcing that "House Republicans’ continuing resolution lets Trump move money however he wants and end whatever life-saving programs he likes, all while abandoning our veterans and hard-working families. For these reasons and more, I am voting NO."

Later on the same day, Garamendi addressed concerns about water infrastructure during a Transportation and Infrastructure Committee hearing. He accused Republicans of ignoring the detrimental impact of the Trump administration's policies on American communities' access to clean drinking water programs. He emphasized this issue in his statement that "Republicans are not dealing with the reality that the Trump administration is destroying the ability of American communities to have access to clean drinking water programs."
