Today I attended the #HandsOff rally in Washington DC with unions and thousand of protesters. We must resist and fight back any way we can."
On April 7, 2025, Garamendi highlighted the issue of pay disparities faced by AANHPI women, marking the #AANHPIEqualPay Day. He elaborated, "Today is #AANHPIEqualPay Day—the day AANHPI women catch up to what white, non-Hispanic men earned last year. But many face even wider gaps. For every $1 they earn, AANHPI women make just 83¢—some, like Native Hawaiian & Bhutanese women, make even less. Time to close the gap!"
