John Garamendi, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 8th district since 2009, has recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. The following day, February 10, he expressed his dismay over the dismissal of Admiral Linda Fagan. In his tweet, he stated: "I’m appalled and shocked that a four-star admiral and the first woman to lead a branch of our military was so unceremoniously removed. Later on February 10, Garamendi commented on international aid with reference to prominent figures such as Trump and Elon Musk. He tweeted: "Trump and Shadow President Musk should go to Lokichogio in Kenya and hold a starving child in their arms. Notice the extended belly. Look at the vacant stare in that child's eyes. Then, decide if you want to put USAID through the wood chipper."
